It has been a while since I wrote in this blog but I am HAPPY to say that I finally graduated from nursing school!!! It has been 2 months already since graduation and a lot has happened since then.
The day before graduation we had our pinning ceremony. I usually don't share many pictures in my blog but I am ready to share with you this amazing experience. I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing! and soon some of you will do too! I worked very hard for almost 4 years (2 years or prereqs and 2 of nursing school) to get to where I am today but hard work pays off :) It will be worth it :)
So, the pinning ceremony is a ceremony where us nursing students get our pins! and also awards. Luckily I was a member of our pinning committee and I was able to help organize this amazing ceremony, which it is organized only by students.
Also, I don't like to say this but I won the Clinical Excellence Award! I am very grateful and thankful for that moment. I don't like to talk about it much because it doesn't mean I am better than anyone else. Everyone tried their hardest throughout the program and sometimes I feel we all deserve an award. Anyway it does feel good to wins something. It just puts a smile on my face, my parents, my hubby and daughters, and just my whole family. Its a good feeling. I was also invited to be a member of the Honor Society or Nursing... you know, I am the first one of all my siblings (5 of us) to earn a college degree, so to me all of these mean so much, specially to have my parents next to me experience it all. They are very proud of me and that makes me so happy. I came to this country at the age of 18 with just a suitcase, nothing else, so this is a proof that ANYONE can achieve their goals, if I did it, YOU can too.
Here is a cell phone image of me holding my award. Here I am with my husband, twin sister and her husband.
The day after the Pinning Ceremony was Graduation! Another great day. Here a few images from that day.
