How I passed NCLEX in less than 100 questions

How I passed NCLEX?
I don't know! because honestly when I walked out of the Pearson Vue testing center I completely thought I had failed. I have heard that's a good thing though. You want NCLEX to be hard! :/

How did I prepare?
Well, thankfully my school forced us to use ATI, and when I say forced us I mean they would not let us take NCLEX before getting the green light from our ATI tutor, an online tutoring program from ATI. We had to complete a series of nclex style exams, remediation and a predictor. Passing the predictor with a minimum of 67 will award you the green light.... well I scored 63! I felt horrible! I am an honor student! What happened??? well I took the exam at home - BIG MISTAKE and at 5am, I was tired, hungry and my girls woke up early that morning too.

At this point I had already scheduled my NCLEX for 7/31! I needed my green light!!! My tutor made me work even harder. She sent me so many practice exams that I lost count. I must have done 5000 practice questions!!!  Finally a few weeks later I got my green light! After that I deactivated facebook, pinterest, instagram, and candy crush for 12 days! I felt lonely lol.  I study my butt off. I also did Sounders and Kaplan questions, but just a few exams. Most of my preparation was from ATI, like 99%.

The day before my exam my husband rented a hotel room because the testing center was far away from our home. He took me to a nice dinner too. I was extremely nervous. The morning of I arrived at the testing center before it was opened lol ANYWAY, the people at Pearson Vue made me feel very comfortable and were super nice!

How  many questions did I get?
100!!! funny that once I reached 75 questions the screen shut off but not because I was done but BECAUSE I was at the 2 hour mark! lol so it asked me If I wanted a break. I quickly clicked NO and continued. Every single question from 75-100 was super stressful.

Was it hard?
For me YES IT WAS! There were a lot of prioritization questions, so as usual I always end up with 2 answers and of course I COULDN'T DECIDE which one was the correct one! apparently I picked the right ones!!!

NOW I CAN SAY I AM AN RN!!!!!! AND IN LESS THAN 1 WEEK AFTER PASSING NCLEX I ACCEPTED A JOB OFFER AS A TELEMETRY NURSE. IT IS A NEW GRAD PROGRAM AND I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED AND THANKFUL FOR IT. MY GOAL IS TO BECOME AN ICU NURSE AND WORKING AS A TELEMETRY NURSE IS GOING TO GIVE ME A GREAT FOUNDATION NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN MY FUTURE GOAL AS AN ICU NURSE.... and by the way the Person Vue trick works ;)

If you have any questions I will update this post. Just comment below. Thank you!

Great Job, and congratulations!

I'm glad to hear ATI was able to help you pass. I notice a lot of schools making it mandatory for students to go through an NCLEX Prep. I guess it's so they have a higher "pass rate" to publish!

Shameless plug: would you like to write a review for ATI? You've worked with it a lot it seems like, and I've created a website so you can rate your experience with them:http://www.examreviewexpert.com/nclex/ati.php

In any case, good luck! I hope you have a great career as an ICU nurse.

That's very great! Congratulations! I also hope to pass this exam soon. Your tips are helpful! In addition to your techniques, I'd like to add that using kindle ebook and mobile apps helps one of my inspiration in life to pass the exam.
